This page explains how our roadmap works and how to follow updates. The source of truth for roadmap items is the GitHub Discussions Roadmap category:
We keep the roadmap in Discussions instead of a static document so that:
- The community can comment directly on roadmap topics.
- We can adjust and clarify plans in one visible place.
- Players, testers, and partners can see how ideas evolve over time.
Individual roadmap posts may link to issues, pull requests, or external documents where appropriate.
To receive notifications about roadmap changes and new posts:
- Open the Roadmap discussions category.
- Use the Watch / notification control on that page to follow the category (for example, Watching or Custom).
- Optionally, watch the entire repository from the Watch menu at the top of https://github.com/World-Domination-Software/Projects.
- Adjust your GitHub notification settings to ensure you receive the level of email or in-app notifications you prefer.
You can always browse the category directly if you prefer not to enable notifications.
While the exact items will change over time, typical roadmap themes include:
- Stability and polish – Fixing crashes, bugs, and rough edges.
- Performance – Improving frame rates, load times, and memory usage across platforms.
- Multiplayer experience – Better matchmaking, connection stability, and social features.
- Quality-of-life features – Controls, UI improvements, accessibility options, and usability tweaks.
- Content and systems – New gameplay content and refinements to existing systems.
Each roadmap discussion post may reference one or more of these themes.
We welcome thoughtful feedback on roadmap posts:
- Use reactions for quick responses (for example, 👍 to indicate support).
- Add comments when you can provide concrete examples, use cases, or constraints.
- For detailed proposals, consider also opening a feature request issue and linking it from the discussion.
Please keep feedback constructive and focused on how we can improve the player experience.
