💡 What: Optimized all images to WebP format, resized them to match display dimensions (or 2x density), and added width/height attributes. Added fetchpriority="high" to the hero image and loading="lazy" to recipe images. Added object-fit: cover to CSS.
🎯 Why: To reduce page load time (LCP reduction from ~810KB image to ~60KB) and prevent Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).
📊 Impact: Reduced hero image size by ~93%. Pre-allocated space for images prevents layout shifts.
🔬 Measurement: Verified with Playwright script (attributes & loading).
