I am a PhD student with Alex Ecker. I am interested in discovering the brain using deep learning as a tool. I am particularly curious about the (functional) cell types from the biological perspective. From the technical side, I worked on reproducibility, dimensionality reduction, clustering, multi-task multi-modal foundational models for predicting neurons activity. Right now I am looking into graphs and embeddings in hyperbolic space.
In 2023, jointly with Paul Fahey we co-leaded the Sensorium 2023 competition to make deep learning predictive models more accessible, improve state of the art models and close the bridge between the computational and experimental communities.
I am open for internships, collaborations or full-time offers for research scientist/engineer.
