There is no need to depend on merb-core relatively for the version. Be explicit.
Though not much has changed in this lib the changes made are for compatibility for Rails3 and a minor version bump of merb. Minor seems appropriate here.

Treating library as a gem now. Works in a production app running on merb-core latest (1.1.3).
Not sure if there is support for ActiveRecord within merb? I didn't see it perusing the source so this library seems necessary still?
