### 📦 Manual Deployment (On-Demand)
You said you prefer deploying manually after finishing work each time. Use the following steps—no auto deploy pipeline required.
#### 1. Backend (Vercel Serverless)
From project root:

### 📋 **How to Contribute**
#### 2. Frontend (Static)
Create a second Vercel project (or subfolder deploy):
```bash
1. **🍴 Fork** the repository
2. **🌿 Create** your feature branch (`git checkout -b feature/AmazingFeature`)
3. **✍️ Commit** your changes (`git commit -m 'Add some AmazingFeature'`)
No build step needed (pure static). Output directory = `frontend`.
If you want to host frontend elsewhere (e.g. GitHub Pages / Netlify):Deploy directory: frontend
#### 3. Updating API Base URL
`frontend/assets/js/config.js` auto-detects localhost vs production. If backend domain changes, update the `production` field.
#### 4. Manual Content Seeding (DEV only)
Add `SEED_KEY` locally, then:

Remove `SEED_KEY` from production for security.

- Follow existing code style and conventions
- Write clear, descriptive commit messages
#### 6. Rollback
In Vercel Deployments tab promote the last good production deployment if new one fails.
#### 7. Common Issues
| Problem | Cause | Fix |
|---------|-------|-----|
| 401 on every route | Project Protection enabled | Disable protection in Vercel Settings |
| 500 startup | Bad MONGO_URI / Atlas access | Check connection string & allowlist |
| Empty content arrays | Not seeded / no data | Use seed route (dev) or insert via MongoDB |
#### 8. Optional Hardening
Add pagination & caching later (see `DEPLOYMENT_CHECKLIST.md`).
- Update documentation for any new features
- Test your changes thoroughly before submitting
