PoliForge

The Open Operating System for Political Campaigns

PoliForge is a modular, AI-powered platform designed to empower grassroots candidates and campaign staff with the strategic, analytical, and operational tools normally reserved for well-funded political machines. Our mission is to democratize access to political power — not by taking sides, but by leveling the playing field.

“If you're not invited to the table, build your own — and make it collapsible so others can carry it, too.”

🛍️ Project Overview

PoliForge is built as a microservice-oriented system. Each service models a specific domain of a real political campaign — from strategic planning to constituent analysis, outreach coordination, and even counter-campaign strategy. By automating and simplifying critical processes, we aim to reduce the cost, complexity, and gatekeeping associated with running for office in the United States.

🔍 What PoliForge Does:

  • Scrapes local legislation, news, and voting records
  • Analyzes constituent demographics and political sentiment
  • Drafts talking points, outreach content, and fundraising messages
  • Manages calendars, events, volunteer coordination, and media assets
  • Generates issue-based opposition research with citations
  • Provides tools for campaign transparency and compliance

All modules are modular, transparent, and open-source — designed to be run individually or as a unified campaign engine.

🤝 Get Involved

We are currently in the system architecture and design phase. You can contribute by:

  • Proposing features, user stories, or use cases
  • Reviewing and helping design microservice boundaries
  • Helping with compliance/legal research
  • Setting up infrastructure and dev tooling
  • Providing feedback as someone who has run or worked on a campaign

If you believe the political process should be more accessible, transparent, and intelligent, we’d love your voice in this project.

📬 Reach out by opening an issue or emailing the project maintainer.

⚠️ Ethics & Usage

PoliForge is a tool, not a platform for ideology. It can be used by candidates across the political spectrum, provided they do not violate U.S. law or GitHub's terms of service. We strongly encourage transparency, evidence-based messaging, and fair use of AI-generated content — but we also recognize that political truth is often contested.

We welcome conversations about ethics, risk, and digital democracy.

🌐 License

Open-source license is under consideration. Our goal is to balance maximum access with ethical integrity and resistance to corporate capture.

🔥 Why This Matters

Running for office shouldn't require a trust fund, a media empire, or a corporate war chest. The American people deserve representatives who can focus on policy, not fundraising; who can speak clearly, not strategically; who can run to serve — not to survive.

PoliForge exists to make that vision possible — one line of code at a time.

“Build something they can’t ignore.”
