Hi, I’m Tarunya

Frontend-focused developer interested in building reliable, user-facing systems.
Currently exploring frontend architecture, offline-first applications, and open source.

About

I like working on problems where real-world constraints shape the solution — offline usage, imperfect data, and evolving requirements.

I value clarity over cleverness and aim to write code that remains understandable as projects grow.

Selected Work

Student Expense Tracker
Offline-first PWA for students.

A privacy-first expense tracker designed to work entirely offline using browser storage. Built with a focus on predictable state, IndexedDB persistence, and real student workflows.

Vanilla JavaScript · IndexedDB · PWA APIs

Open Source Contributions

I work with existing open source codebases to understand how real systems evolve and how maintainers balance usability, consistency, and long-term maintainability.

Recent work includes frontend and documentation contributions to projects like Jaeger UI and the AsyncAPI website.

Additional Work
  • RFP Response Builder — UI-driven system for structuring unstructured documents
  • Netflix UI Clone — Responsive layout and component composition exercise
  • Streakly — Habit tracking with visual feedback loops

Technical Skills

Frontend
JavaScript (ES6+), React (hooks, component patterns), HTML, CSS, responsive design, Tailwind CSS.

Backend & Tools
Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Firebase, Git & GitHub, Docker (basics), Vercel / Netlify.

Open Source & Learning

  • Selected Contributor — SWoC
  • Actively engaging with open source projects and maintainers
  • Interested in frontend systems, developer tooling, and developer experience (DX)

Contact

I care about writing code that is easy to reason about today and safe to change tomorrow.
