added a logo grid to the homepage ready for dotcom-monitor logo(s) to be added

it's quite a simple change, so probbaly only needs one review-approve and then merge

should auto deploy to https://dev.raku.org only

Atikon is no longer sponsoring Raku, so can be removed.

I'll check with jnthn to see whether or not Edument should/could be mentioned.

Are the original-bak logos referred to from anywhere?

to clarify, this PR is to share and agree the style of the new logo section on the homepage - this is only a release to dev.raku.org

I have just pulled in all the logos (but two) from old.raku.org

Henley Cloud (my personal services company has now ceased trading) - I coukd't find any current online presence for helpshift to confirm the logo (and anyway, it looks ugly).

My understanding of these that remain is that they all agreed to a free of charge listing on the site that says "used in production by" ... was a time limit agreed to these? Have they actively withdrawn?

going forward, I guess we need to decide:

(i) are any of the old logos willing to continue for another period?
(ii) should we add two logo sections - one for sponsors and one for "used in production at"
-or-
(iii) just list the four new logos from the download-monitor folks

I would be happy to contact them for (i) - do we have folks we can connect to?

@coke - please can you clarify your question (sorry I don't understand)

suggest we merge to dev so that we can all see the design and continue the discussion on which to release to prod?

If the old logos aren't used then remove them instead of keeping them, hidden

anyway - hopefully this (very simple) logo gallery design is agreeable

as to which logos, my starter for 10 is "why not just keep the same logos we had on old.raku.org?" why kick the sleeping dog?

maybe we need to change the heading to match the old "used in production by" as already established

we can then add a second gallery (same design, change the background colour) for the new dotcom-monitor logos and other future paying sponsors

@coke @lizmat @librasteve

  • the logos look fine to me
  • I think that 'sponsored by' should be different to 'used in production by'. They are qualitatively different contexts, and would lead to misunderstandings if kept the same.
  • dot-com mentioned four products.

I suggested: "supported by" ?

@lizmat ++ 'supported by' matches both, so that seems Ok to me
