The main purpose of this project proposal is to stimulate a virtual environment for the Radio Frequency Ablation medical procedure. The system proposes to assist the medical trainee through various textual information (visual feedback) as they practice and acts as a navigation platform to locate the tumor. The project concerns the kidney tumor where a virtual abdominal phantom will be created from patient’s CT scan.The system can be used for pre-operative planning in order to prevent surgical errors.
