In this release, we introduce computational enhancements to the robust flight planning approach by eliminating the need to build an ensemble dynamical model to account for wind uncertainty. Instead, we focus only on considering the effects of meteorological uncertainty on the non-CO2 forcing agents, especially contrails. This modification enables faster function evaluations and leads to a significant improvement in the algorithm’s overall convergence. Nonetheless, if wind uncertainty is substantial or specifically required for the analysis, users can still choose to run the library in its original mode.
