fix 1
run windsurf reset
go to windsurf website, settings, DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
create a new account WITH THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS
reopen windsurf and re-login to same email
error will appear but closing and reopening will allow it to work again

IF IT DOESNT WORK

Fix 2:
go to windsurf website, settings, DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT
run windsurf reset
download geek uninstaller and run it (it uninstalls windsurf and then also allows deletion of regedit related stuff)
open command prompt and run: ipconfig /flushdns
create a new account with a different email (maybe even use a different browser if needed)
install windsurf
login
most of the time youll lose your previous chat history with this way

This tool does not work anymore ever since Windsurf has patched it on Oct 22 with Windsurf 1.12.25 update. It uses server-side device fingerprinting which means it takes the device UUID and registers it on their end. Once you signed up with your device it automatically registered it to their database. You cannot bypass this locally. Creating a new account and logging in would not work as well, this came with the new patch.

I have tried this command on mac which the program was unable to delete/reset: sudo rm -f "/private/var/root/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.exafunction.windsurf.ShipIt.E02A6A4D-1A63-5A51-94D6-2D356C570389.plist" && rm -f ~/Library/Preferences/com.exafunction.windsurf.plist && rm -rf ~/Library/HTTPStorages/com.exafunction.windsurf* && rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.exafunction.windsurf* && rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Arc/User\ Data/*/IndexedDB/*windsurf* && rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/Arc/User\ Data/*/IndexedDB/*codeium* && echo " Deleted"

Verifying if it was deleted with:
sudo ls -la "/private/var/root/Library/Preferences/ByHost/" | grep windsurf

# Check HTTP Storage is GONE:

In theory this would've solved it but when i opened windsurf again, the blocked still persist. I came up with a verdict where they have our device UUID registered on their end. Creating a virtual machine and using windsurf on there would work.

I just tested it out with my mac, and wow it did activated the trial! I may have missed something during the test. I will try to get back to you if i ever found a solution. That said, ill update this thread!
