Membership capabilities exist in WP User Frontend but are not clearly positioned as “membership” features. Currently, they are implied under subscriptions and access control, which creates a discoverability gap.
We need to make membership more visible across the product UI and marketing touchpoints.
Proposed Solutions
1. UI Updates
- Add a dedicated “Membership” menu/tab under or alongside Subscriptions
- Rename or restructure navigation:
- Subscriptions → “Subscriptions & Memberships” (or similar)
Group related features under Membership:
- Plans
- Access control
- User roles
- Content restriction
2. Copy & Messaging Updates
Explicitly mention “membership” across:
- Dashboard upsell panels
- Settings descriptions
- Feature labels
Examples:
- “Subscriptions” → “Membership Plans & Subscriptions”
- “Content Restriction” → “Membership Access Control”
3. Feature Positioning
Reframe existing features as part of a membership system:
- Subscription plans = Membership tiers
- Access rules = Membership permissions
- User roles = Membership levels
