add DX labels with DX_UPD is not possible

Unfortunately, is it for me not possible to add DX labels with websocat.

I tried with different methodes with no luck.

What are DX labels and how do they relate to Websockets?

What is DX_UDP? Is there an RFC that describes it?

DX lables are lables like FT8 , SSTV, Broadcast stations. By click the VFO will tune to this frequency.

I would like to use DX lables for any DX-Cluster lookups.
With an addional script I would like to push the DX-Cluster infos to the websocat into the Kiwi.
After 20min the labels will be deleted.

Therefore will it helpfull to use the DX lables: like here discrubed:

If those labels are essentially specially formatted text lines that are to be sent to a WebSocket then the command above should work.

You can try a command with some debugging enabled, like this (with ws://ws.vi-server.org/mirror substituted with your endpoint):

thanks, only I got no READ and no SET Line and the Label will not shown in waterfall headerline.
Do you have an idea?

Why do you think it is not working and what is working?

That's because of my snippet above was using a WebSocket mirror as a demo endpoint. It replies back all incoming messages.

I don't understand what is a waterfall headerline.

Websocat's job is to deliver the line properly to a WebSocket. Content of the message is out of scope. You may want to turn on debugging on receiver's side or start from other line that works.

If some peculiarities (such as white-space at the end of the message) interfere, you can use --base64 / --base64-text options to fine-tune content of the message.

@vi Thanks for trying to help. I'm just seeing this now as I'm 12 hours out-of-phase (NZ). Obviously this is a Kiwi API issue and has nothing to do with websocat (nice tool btw). I will work with the OP via the email he sent me.
