This Acceptable Use Policy applies to the PulseRoom video-chat stack and any service deployed from this repository.
This document is a minimal operational draft for the stack and is not legal advice. It should be reviewed by the service operator before public launch.
The service may be used only for lawful, authorized, and legitimate communication and collaboration.
You may not use the service to:
- violate any applicable law, regulation, court order, or third-party right
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or data protection rights
- harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, exploit, or abuse any person
- facilitate child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, trafficking, grooming, or other severe harm
- distribute malware, spyware, ransomware, credential theft tools, or malicious code
- attempt unauthorized access, privilege escalation, interception, scraping, or disruption of systems or accounts
- send spam, scams, phishing, impersonation, fraudulent solicitations, or deceptive communications
- promote violence, terrorism, or unlawful weapons-related activity
- publish or transmit non-consensual intimate imagery, doxxing material, or targeted abuse
- circumvent security, rate limits, access controls, moderation controls, or provider restrictions
- use the service to benchmark, overload, or stress the platform in a way that degrades availability for others
- upload or transmit content that you do not have the right to use or disclose
The service is not designed or approved for high-risk uses where failure, misuse, or delay could lead to death, personal injury, emergency response failure, or critical infrastructure harm.
The operator may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, suspend rooms, restrict access, preserve evidence, or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary.
The operator may also refer matters to law enforcement, regulators, affected rights holders, or network and identity providers where appropriate.
Before public launch, the operator should publish a clear abuse-reporting contact and a notice-and-takedown process appropriate to the jurisdictions in which the service is offered.
This policy may be updated as the service, threat model, or legal obligations change.
