DEB repo: GPG error ... Signed file isn't valid, got 'NODATA' ...

In Kubuntu 22.04, apt update gives the following error. I've tried the following with no joy:

• apt-get autoclean and apt-get clean;
• connecting through my ISP and two VPN services.

GPG error: https://favpackage.jfrog.io/artifactory/klogg_deb jammy Release: Signed file isn't valid, got 'NODATA' (does the network require authentication?)

What's causing this? How might if fix it, if the cause is at my end?

Unfortunately, JFrog stopped providing repository hosting for free. I tried contacting them as an open source project, but no luck. I've created #613 to gather suggestions for new deb/rpm hosting.
