Description
First of all, thank you for continuously improving FluentFlyout. I've really been enjoying the recent updates, especially the media widget improvements.
I have another small UX suggestion that I think could make the taskbar media widget even more convenient to use.
Suggestion
It would be great if right-clicking the media widget opened a context menu with common media actions.
For example:
- Repeat
- Shuffle
- Previous Track
- Next Track
- Seek Backward (when supported)
- Seek Forward (when supported)
- Switch Media Session (if multiple sessions are available)
- Open Media App
- Restart Widget
- Open FluentFlyout Settings
Benefits
- Provides quick access to common media actions without opening the full application.
- Makes better use of right-click, which currently has little or no functionality.
- Keeps the widget clean while still offering advanced controls when needed.
- Fits naturally with the Windows context menu interaction pattern.
Of course, only the actions supported by the current media session would need to be displayed or enabled.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!
Additional context
Something like this:
