nature.com blocks element picker mode

• The issue is not present after disabling uBO in the browser.
• I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I am reporting is not normal behavior.

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

• uBO is the only extension.
• uBO uses default lists and settings.
• using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

Attempting to enter element picker mode fails on nature.com in Firefox and Chrome while the cookie modal is up.

A specific URL where the issue occurs.

Steps to Reproduce

To reproduce,

1. navigate to nature.com,
2. notice the cookie modal,
3. attempt to block it using the element picker.

Expected behavior

The element picker should work as usual

Actual behavior

The element picker does not highlight elements, and does not function
