The dependencies are identical.

Up to you :) If it's a lot of extra code - maybe not, as it might make the MoBIE repo hard to navigate / even bigger.

I would move it into a package completely separate from what we have so far.
Thus, you personally would not feel any difference as you would never need to look at that code.
It's just very annoying for me to maintain many updates sites, especially with all those bdv-playground dependencies, which are not managed by the scijava-parent-pom.
