Confused about the yielded data during SmarterCSV.process block

According to the docs the following block is supposed to be using a hash

file = File.open(filename)
SmarterCSV.process(file, options) do |row|
  # row should be a hash
end

But I'm getting an array with one value like this…

AmazingPrint({row:})
{
    :row => [
        [0] {
                :last_name => "last_name",
                       :id => 1,
            :email_address => "example@example.com"
          :csv_line_number => 2
        }
    ]
}

so I have to do this…

file = File.open(filename)
SmarterCSV.process(file, options) do |row|
  row = row.first
  # row is now the hash
end

My options are

{
  force_utf8: true,
  # verbose: true,
  with_line_numbers: true,
  key_mapping: FIELDS_MAP,
  remove_empty_values: false,
  remove_unmapped_keys: true,
  required_keys: FIELDS_MAP.keys,
  strip_chars_from_headers: /[\u200b]/,   # strip zero-width spaces
}

Am I doing something wrong?

sorry, I just saw this today. Thank you for pointing this out - it is a bug in the documentation.
SmarterCSV always returns an array of hashes.

  SmarterCSV.process(file_or_input, options) do |array_of_hashes|
     # process one row wrapped in an array (chunk_size defaults to 1 row per yield)
  end
