INFO: MongoDB currently broken on Linux kernel 6.19 due to a broken dependency, causing database crashes

It may be that Kernel versions as early as 6.17 may also be affected (see google/tcmalloc#292; possibly even kernel 6.6), but the official mongodb notice references 6.19.

Here's to hoping TCMalloc gets fixed soon. For now, downgrading kernel will be necessary on affected systems.

Potential workaround found: Set GLIBC_TUNABLES=glibc.pthread.rseq=1, eg. by adding it to the database image in compose.yml like so:

database:
  environment:
    GLIBC_TUNABLES: glibc.pthread.rseq=1
  # ...rest of config

Database service has been running for multiple minutes without a hitch now. Will do some more rigorous testing (read: actually using the database at all) tomorrow.

..It should be noted that I have no idea if this introduces any sort of performance impact, or other issues, since from my understanding the entire reason for all this fuckery is TCMalloc doing some aggressive optimization, and this variable presumably influences the same system, or a related system.. I just saw it mentioned in a related discussion somewhere else, and did some bare-minimum testing, and it looks(!) like it works.

The above env setting is not working for me on the official mongodb docker images, and it continues to crash
