i’m samuel. i fix things that shouldn't be broken (like linux builds in passagemath) and build things that should exist (like philcalc). i turn abstract symbolic logic into stable, high-performance systems.

technical impact:

  • passagemath: merged linux build crash fix (#2237); diagnosed chronic windows ci failures (#2239). going toward upstream sagemath!
  • philcalc: first-stop symbolic calculator for quick terminal math.
  • deborgen: lightweight distributed compute cooperative.

the symbolic rounding error
github's billing logic doesn't believe in $e$ (or rendering latex correctly). since it can't handle a $2.71 tier, the extra $0.29 covers the precision gap.
