repository appears unmaintained; downstream users?

Looking at issues/PRs, it appears this repository is no longer being maintained. Please explain if it is being maintained, and if so what that means in terms of addressing issues/PR and expectations for the future.

This repository is currently documented as usptream from NetBSD. Are there other users of code? If so, it would be nice to hear from them with a description, and an explanation of their plans for feeding back changes and improvements.
