Material Components for Android

Note

The upstream Material Components for Android library is now in maintenance mode, as Google has gone "all-in" on Jetpack Compose.

However, we still have active projects relying on the Android View toolkit. Some of them are in the process of migrating to Compose, while for others, a full migration is not practical, even though they remain actively maintained.

This fork is intended to provide a maintained version of Material Components that those projects can rely on, with the bug fixes, improvements, and compatibility updates they need.
