On Monterey mutes mic and sound

On MacOs Monterey it mutes the microphone but also mutes sound.

The developers of the competing app MicDrop identified the issue within macOS and filed a bug. It was resolved within a Monterey beta but is still a persisting issue in the latest official version 12.1.
