that's correct - currently the only backends that support contacts are phoebe 1.0 (legacy) and the native phoebe 2 backend |

Thank you for your response. How can we download the native phoebe2
backend? I’m finding on the Phoebe website but still don’t see this
version.

Hi all,
I would like to ask about using FastCompute for optimization and modeling of contact binary systems. From what I understand, FastCompute currently works only for detached and semi-detached binaries. For contact binaries, it seems we can use only the PHOEBE 1.0 backend, which is much slower.
Do you have any suggestions on how to efficiently model contact binaries with faster computation, similar to normal binaries?
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Kittipong
