Can a TS config file extend a JSON config?

The website examples have a JSON file extend a JSON file and a TS file extend a TS config. Can a TS config file extend a JSON config?

Sorry, I just re-read this, yes it should be possible although we haven't explicitly tested + designed for it. (I thought you wanted a JSON extending TS which won't worK)

I am getting this error when doing so:

Type '{ $schema: string; overrides: { files: string[]; rules: { "unicorn/filename-case": string; "unicorn/no-abusive-eslint-disable": string; }; }[]; rules: {}; }' is not assignable to type 'OxlintConfig'.
  Types of property 'overrides' are incompatible.
    Type '{ files: string[]; rules: { "unicorn/filename-case": string; "unicorn/no-abusive-eslint-disable": string; }; }[]' is not assignable to type 'OxlintOverride[]'.

you might just have to cast - typescript doens't appear to infer the types correctly for the severity - it generatlizes it to string rather than keeping it as the literal value.
