API 2.0 #960
Description
A 2.0 release is being considered in order to drop deprecated API's and to do some cleanup like ensuring the only time the process dictionary is touched behind the scenes is when a macro is called, never a function. This gives to the user a more explicit separation between calls that will modify the pdict and ones that won't and lessens surprises.
