Ah, a Friday servicing release. That's never backfired before.

Changes

• The "invalid media resource, go get rekt" warning has been toned down (and for now, has been removed entirely in the Stable channel) (Suppress the invalid media error in Stable #19969)
• We now support the use of OSC 7 in some circumstances to report the current working directory (Implement OSC 7 for setting the CWD #20019)
• Terminal will once again emit an empty bracketed paste sequence (\e[200~\e[201~) when you attempt to paste an image (e.g. into an agentic coding CLI) (Reinstate the (apparently) load-bearing empty bracketed paste #20037)
• Terminal will now assert focus when you drag and drop a file on it (Terminal receives focus on drag n drop #20003) (thanks Ethan Balakumar (@etbala)!)
• We've reworked how text selection is handled when an application requests mouse mode; Shift clicks will no longer extend an existing selection and positioning will use absolute coordinates rather than selecting the nearest half cell (Improve UX for selection during VTMM #19973)
• When you restart a session with "Restart Connection", we will now return the terminal to a more sane default state (Update 'restart connection' action to reset internal state #19971)

Bug Fixes

• Console applications will now only receive Ctrl+Z as EOF when they are reading input in the ENABLE_PROCESSED_INPUT mode; this restores the console to its behavior in Windows 7 (Only honor Ctrl+Z during ReadFile if the console is in PROCESSED mode #19940)
• Disabling the Kitty Keyboard Protocol in the Settings now actually works (Make disabling the Kitty Keyboard Protocol possible #19995)
• Dragging to create a new selection in the terminal while searching will now properly focus the terminal for keyboard input (such as copying) (control: focus terminal on click-drag while search is open #19931) (thanks Artem Lytkin (@4RH1T3CT0R7)!)
• Korean IME users will no longer experience characters being inserted into the wrong places during arrow key presses (Fix Korean IME arrow key inserting character at wrong position #20039) (thanks jason (@drvoss)!)
• Settings search can now properly select the ambiguous width and current folder icon settings (Fix GenerateSettingsIndex using element name instead of x:Name #19945) (thanks Sagar (@sagarbhure-msft)!)
• The "search" dropdown in Settings should more closely follow the application's theme (Fix search dropdown theming #19987)
• The console host will no longer fail to launch on editions of Windows that do not contain the full text input framework (Make TSF initialization fully fallible #19958)
• The Mark Mode selection indicators will no longer disappear permanently when they are scrolled out of view (Fix selection markers disappearing after scrolling out of view #19974) (Fix selection markers appearing on scroll #20045)
• The Visual Studio Developer PowerShell profiles will now display the correct icon when they choose to use PowerShell 7+ (Use vs-pwsh icons if applicable. #19990) (thanks Theodore Tsirpanis (@teo-tsirpanis)!)
• We have removed a significant source of memory leaks when a screen reader or other assistive technology is enabled (Fix memory leaks with UIA #19950)
• When "Copy on select" is enabled, we will no longer overwrite the clipboard if you are pasting into another terminal session with an active selection (Fix copyOnSelect right-click overwriting clipboard with stale selection #19943) (thanks Sagar (@sagarbhure-msft)!)

ConPTY

• ConPTY will attempt to re-sync the cursor position after passing through an unknown VT sequence (such as a DCS, APC or OSC that produces an image) (Send a CPR request on every unknown sequence #20009)
• The signature of ConptyShowHidePseudoConsole has been corrected (conpty: remove accidental bool; use BOOL instead #20035)
• The ConPTY package will no longer produce MSB4019 when included in Visual C++ projects (Fix MSB4019 error in ConPTY nupkg #20029) (thanks gcrtnst!)
• ConPTY will no longer deadlock during cooked read while displaying a character whose width is greater than a single cell (Fix a deadlock during cooked reads #19994)
