Hello RNW community 👋,
We’re sharing an important platform update regarding the future of React Native for Windows.
✅ What’s Happening
Starting with RNW 0.82, Paper will no longer be supported.
RNW will be Fabric‑only, fully aligned with React Native 0.82+
🧭 Why This Change
React Native core has removed the legacy architecture in 0.82.
Fabric provides significantly better performance, stability, and long‑term support.
👀 Who Needs to Take Action
You should migrate if:
Your Windows app was created using RNW <= 0.81, on old architecture(Paper) or
You explicitly selected a Paper / UWP template after RNW 0.80.
🔧 What to Do Next
Upgrade your app to RNW 0.81.
Migrate to the Fabric (New) Architecture.
Test and validate before upgrading to RNW 0.82.
