I'm also experiencing high CPU load from pylance. For the last few weeks I have been unable to use VS Code with the Python extension. When the Python extension is installed, it crashes my whole system every time I open VS Code. My machine becomes completely frozen and I have to do a hard reset. I'm on Debian 13 with 64GB RAM and 20 CPUs so something is desperately wrong here.
