Store Commerce iOS App Reject Issue
Summary
Describe the issue
We have developed a Store Commerce iOS application utilizing the provided Microsoft GIT sample (https://github.com/microsoft/Dynamics365Commerce.InStore/tree/release/9.55).
Manual distribution of .ipa files on iPhone involves complex sideloading procedures and third-party dependencies. To simplify this process and improve accessibility for our customers, we are managing our distribution through Apple App Store Connect.
We submitted our app to Apple App Store Connect for review; however, it was rejected during the submission process. The reason provided was a violation of Guideline 4.3.0 Design: Spam
Details of rejection reason,
Your app version was rejected and no other items submitted can be accepted or approved. You can make
edits to your app version below.
Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam
We noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.
Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.
Next Steps
Since we do not accept spam apps on the App Store, we encourage you to review your app concept and submit a unique app with distinct content and functionality.
Resources
Some factors that contribute to a spam rejection may include:
- Submitting an app with the same source code or assets as other apps already submitted to the App Store
- Creating and submitting multiple similar apps using a repackaged app template
- Purchasing an app template with problematic code from a third party
- Submitting several similar apps across multiple accounts
Version and Error Info
Commerce SDK Version: 9.55
Extension Requirement
We have implemented our Payment Connector to process card payments through a dedicated hardware station with a payment terminal, as referenced by the Payment Device sample in the hardware station folder.
