window in fullscreen and a new window takes the focus, the new window stays bellow the fullscreen window

what the title sais.

for example, when you launch ssh, it launches a little gui to receive the password, that takes the focus. When in fullscreen with mate-terminal, it takes focus, but the terminal stays in fullscreen. Some other apps do this but the terminal is more vulnerable.

it still "works", but you have to do your thing in the blind, or manage to close the window blindly.

and i think the mouse can't click the window bellow. So if you need to mouse, you are locked up.

Alt-F2 to bring up the Run Application window and the window below full-screen should be brought up. Try it.

with the ssh widget it doesn't work at all, it grabs the keyboard. Maybe other apps are less intrusive. (i understand ssh does this for security reasons, so it's not up to them to fix this)
