More RAM Usage than expected?

Hello,

I was under the impression that this is going to be a small fun thing to set up in a few moments, but it's now been using more than 2,8GB of RAM and I thought it's going to be 50? (Let's say 250 for the whole of the container, but that's nothing compare to >2,5GB)

Did I misunderstand this container or something not working properly?

A similar thing happened to me. I have a PBX + SIP Trunk and SMB server on the same host, and suddenly they all went down. ssh not working, so I thought it was the net. Connected a monitor and then even cli on tty did not work, unresponsive. After rebooting, I saw how a command node server.js was hogging a whopping 8 GiB of RAM (I only have 16 Gi,B and half of it is in use usually). Kernel started OOM-ing processes like crazy, swap was full, cli did not even work... Had to kill the container, and suddenly all the problems disappeared. Still don't know what happened. So, from 50MB the author claims to the reality of the situation, it seems there is quite a difference hahaha

Did you update the container? Was an issue yesterday but updates suposedly fixed it

after force pulling I'm still hovering around 250-300mb; does that sound feasible?

Same here, I have latest as of a few minutes ago, usage is high - CPU usage is higher than all of my 98 other containers combined lol

Using Unraid and Docker, I simply pinned the max memory to 1gig and pinned it on a single CPU Core

+1 for the RAM and CPU issues. Instantly started using like 60% of the allocated CPU and 450MBs RAM.

Newest push has added environment variables for easier resource allocation. I think the new defaults do a decent job at lowering the overall usage but it's hard to lower CPU, MEM, and Traffic while also retaining a working app. This way users can prioritize resource allocation where they see fit or just lower them all to the bare minimum and stalk one, single direct connection. Maybe this will be a new decentralized, p2p e-dating?
