RFC: memoization as a core feature

Imagine taking this:

var memo: [int : int] = [:];

fn fib(n : int) {
	if (n < 2) {
		return n;
	}

	var result = memo[n];
	if (result == null) {
		result = fib(n-1) + fib(n-2);
		memo[n] = result;
	}

	return result;
}

and reducing it to just this:

memo fib(n) {
	if (n < 2) return n;
	return fib(n-1) + fib(n-2);
}

It would be a cool feature for the language, but in general it's just an idea - there's no pressing need for it.
