For guidance on contributing to JUnit, you'll want to read the CONTRIBUTING.md file. Though unfortunately there are currently no issues up for grabs. As an alternative - to learn more about JUnit - you could consider writing your own JUnit Jupiter extension to solve problems that you encounter at work. Or if you want to contribute to Open Source specifically, you might want to check the JUnit Pioneer project. They do have some issues up for grabs at the moment. |

Hi everyone,
I’m new here. I use JUnit frequently at work and I’d like to start contributing to the project (code-related).
I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but could you give me some tips on how to get started?
Are there any “good first issues” or beginner-friendly tasks you would recommend?
I’d really like to understand the internal mechanisms behind junit-framework, perhaps starting from simple examples, to better grasp its essence and contribute more effectively.
