For single node usage, is SQLite comparable with Redis?

I'm using SQLite as a metadata engine provider and am quite happy with my setup. But I'm curious if Redis provides better performance even on a single node setup?

That was a great read! I wish the benchmark included SQLite database.. But I decided to stay with my SQLite setup for now. It seems the simplest and the most reliable solution for a single host setup.
