True‑Black Dark Mode does not work on Pixel 7 Pro (GrapheneOS) – UI stays gray

The Button "True black darkmode" on my Pixel 7 Pro (Pixel 7 Pro, GrapheneOS) does not do anything. The background stays dark gray instead of true black.

My phone however is a Pixel 10 pro xl.

Hey @1amcord and @2IkHLHB, can you clarify if this is in the "Dynamic" mode, or all dark modes? Any screenshots of the settings menu would also be helpful to debug.

Thanks for getting back to me!

It's the same in dynamic and in always dark mode.
Nothing changes when I select "True Black" - even if I close and restart capyreader, nothing happens.

I attach a screenshot but they look the same with "true black" on/off.
Plus, I add a screenshot of "Read you" - where true black is working.
I'm not 100% sure because my monitor doesn't show true black but I guess they look different on the pictures.

Please let me know if I can do anything else.

Hey @1amcord, this should be fixed in version 2026.01.1188 so that "pure black"/"reiner schwarzer" works with the Dynamic theme. Let me know otherwise!
