MarkerMatic does not initially connect to console

MarkerMatic has been granted 'Local Network Access' already, but after startup, in order to connect to the console, I have to toggle 'Local Network Access' off and then on again.

Computer: Mac Mini M4 2024
OS: macOS Tahoe 26.0.1
Console: Digico Quantum 852

Hi @stebunting, thanks for the report! A couple of questions for you:

• Can you please check which version of MarkerMatic you're running (from the MarkerMatic menu > About MarkerMatic)?
• When you're toggling Local Network Access off, then back on, are you then quitting and re-launching MarkerMatic, clicking the reconnect button, or just waiting for it to automatically re-connect?

MarkerMatic v4.1.1, and I don't need to quit and relaunch, it connects immediately when Local Network Access is re-enabled.

Hiya, I haven't been able to reproduce the issue on that version of macOS, but suspect it's related to either a broken or duplicate permissions entry. Can you please try the following:

1. In a terminal, run tccutil reset All com.justinstasiw.markermatic
2. Find and delete all copies of MarkerMatic (either in your Applications folder, or elsewhere), and eject any disk images with it
3. Empty all copies of MarkerMatic from the trash. Your settings won't be lost.
4. Log out, then log back into macOS

After doing this, the MarkerMatic entry should be totally gone from the Local Network Access page in System Settings. You can then re-install a copy of the latest version, and it should prompt you once for local network access, then hopefully resolve this?

Get off 26.0.1

There's several MAJOR audio system issues in 0.1

Drove me re-certifiable until I found this from Rogue Amoeba and stopping trying to find non existent hair to pull out (Soundgrid would not see extended mode on a Waves card, Soundgrid wouldn't see external word clock, Reapers routing was chaos, Live Professor lost loops etc)

Tahoe 26.1 is stable

So the first thing I did was to update to macOS 26.1, and to update MarkerMatic to v4.2.0. When I did this, the problem went away for 2 days. This also happened when I updated the software in the past.

So then I followed the instructions above to fix permissions. I had the same experience... it was fine for 2 days and then it stopped automatically connecting.

Incidentally, this computer is specifically built for recording. The only software that is installed on it is macOS 26.1, RME Drivers/TotalMix, MarkerMatic, Reaper and Smaart v9. The problem has existed ever since the first install of MarkerMatic. It will always work for a couple of days, and then stop.
