WP Emerge fails to install

Version

• WP Emerge: 0.17.0
• WordPress: 6.0.1
• PHP: I tried both 7.4 and 8.1

Expected behavior

The installation finished successfully.

Actual behavior

Installation fails with errors:
Script @php wpemerge install:dependencies handling the install-dev-env event returned with error code 1
Script @install-dev-env was called via post-create-project-cmd

Steps to reproduce (in case of a bug)

Just follow https://docs.wpemerge.com/#/starter/theme/quickstart

1. Browse to /wp-content/themes.
2. Run composer create-project htmlburger/wpemerge-theme THEME_NAME replacing THEME_NAME with your desired name.

I'm struggling to install WP Emerge, I've got everything that's required:

PHP >= 5.5 - mine is 8.1 (tried with 7.4 too)
WordPress >= 4.7 mine is 6.0.1
Composer = mine is 2.3.10
Node.js >= 12 - mine is 16.15.1
Yarn or NPM - my NPM is 8.16

Has anyone resolved this issue? I'm unable to complete the installation process without errors on dependencies install...

PHP >= 5.5 - mine is 8.0.30
WordPress >= 4.7 mine is 6.4.2
Composer = mine is 2.6.3
Node.js >= 12 - mine is v20.7.0

I wrote an email to htmlburger and they said this framework is no longer maintained, seeying as it did not gain much traction, also the main maintainer left the company.

They should archive this repository, waster my 1hour time! too many abandon project now a days
