Cannot get Deskhop Running

I bought a pre-built Deskhop and I cannot get it going.

Only A or B are ever illuminated, never both. Every now and then the mouse or keyboard will work on one device but not switch.

The keyboard Num Lock light doesn't come on.

I'm using a keyboard and mouse with a backlight. Is there a chance the power isn't enough? Would a USB power injector in between the keyboard and the unit work? Or, could I supply additional power to the unit somehow?

If the original circuit remains unchanged, two computers must be turned on simultaneously for Deskhop to function properly.
A computer is required to function normally, and the two USB positive terminals on the motherboard can be connected in parallel. This is the simplest solution. If possible, it is best to add two Schottky diodes to prevent power supply backflow.
If the issue persists, you can try flashing the firmware again. It may be a firmware issue.
Additionally, it is recommended to replace the USB data cable, as DeskHop has high requirements for data cable performance.
