Some newer sprig functions are missing from documentation.

Helm 3.5.0 updated the sprig package to a version which included floating point math functions but those appear to be missing from the helm docs. I haven't extensively checked elsewhere but it's possible some other stuff is missing too.

The Helm function list documentation with the complete Sprig function library, here are the missing functions in docs/chart_template_guide/function_list.mdx:

String Functions

• regexQuoteMeta - Escapes regex metacharacters

Cryptographic and Security Functions

• sha512sum - Computes SHA512 digest
• bcrypt - Generates bcrypt hash directly (htpasswd uses bcrypt, but the bcrypt function itself isn't documented)
• genCAWithKey - Generates CA using a provided private key
• genSelfSignedCertWithKey - Generates self-signed certificate with specified key
• genSignedCertWithKey - Generates CA-signed certificate with specified key

Math Functions

• randInt - Returns a random integer value from min (inclusive) to max (exclusive)

Defaults/Logic Functions

• all - Returns true if all values are non-empty
• any - Returns true if any value is non-empty
• mustFromJson - Decode JSON with error handling (fromJson is documented but not the must variant)

OS Functions (Deliberately Excluded)

• env - Reads environment variables
• expandenv - Performs variable substitution

Note: The env and expandenv functions are intentionally excluded from Helm for security reasons, as noted in the
Sprig documentation.

File Path Functions (OS-specific variants)

• osBase - OS-specific version of base
• osDir - OS-specific version of dir
• osExt - OS-specific version of ext
• osClean - OS-specific version of clean
• osIsAbs - OS-specific version of isAbs

These OS-specific path functions use the OS-specific path separator, while the regular versions (base, dir, etc.)
use forward slashes.

Recommendation

The most notable omissions are:

1. regexQuoteMeta - useful for escaping regex patterns
2. sha512sum - SHA512 hashing capability
3. all and any - useful logic functions
4. randInt - random integer generation
5. The *WithKey certificate generation functions for more advanced certificate scenarios
