Developer instructions

I think we should agree on some programming approaches, and add this to the readme or documentation. In random order some items that should be mentioned, some major and some minor:

• black formatting
• adding tests and/or notebook for new functionality
• use warnings.warn for DeprecationWarning
• use logger.warning for all other warnings (and not warnings.warn)
• Add new (optional) dependencies in pyproject.toml, README.md and docs\getting_started.rst
• For a new release: remove the 'b' from version, update main from dev, make a new release, add 0.01 and a 'b' to version in the dev branch.
