Description
I was testing C2PA verification on Android and when checking a photo using https://verify.contentauthenticity.org/ I noticed it was not showing a correct location, just a dot in the middle of nowhere.
Looking at the EXIF data of the photo, the GPS coordinates indeed point to a location in the middle of the sea. After further investigation, this seems to be due to the longitude being inverted.
Here's an extract of exiftool:
Exif GPS Dest Bearing : 0.0
Exif GPS Speed : 0.0
Exif GPS Longitude : 6°8'54.154" W
Exif GPS Altitude : 428.9000244140625
The correct longitude for my photo is 6°8'54.154" E. Latitude, on the other hand, is correct.
I tested again with another photo taken from the Proofmode app, and after checking that my phone location was correct in a map app, same issue.
Additional info:
- Device: Pixel 3
- OS: Android 12, Build SP1A.210812.016.C1
- Proofmode version: 2.6.0-RC-2 installed from F-Droid
