How can i get chat history from user using gotd?

Hey there! My aim is to use gotd to

1. Create telegram client in the same application my bot runs in
2. When bot handler is called, ask client to retrieve specific chat histories (2 private channels)
3. Returns 3 random messages from these private channels as a response from handler

Could someone tell me if:

1. Is it possible to use both client API and bot API in a single application?
2. What functions are related to chat history in gotd? (i look for https://core.telegram.org/method/messages.getHistory wrapper)
