I don't think so - it uses https://pkg.go.dev/golang.org/x/image/vector#NewRasterizer under the hood which doesn't have configuration.

Sounds like maybe you would like bitmap fonts though?

Do you know if it possible using scanFT?
I have to use TTF fonts but without antialiasing

TTF and bitmap is not mutually exclusive - you can have bitmap inside the ttf.

What is the reason to have to turn off the anti-alias? There may be workarounds.

My display is EPD (electronic paper). It has only 3 colors - Black, Red and White. With antialiasing turned on text looks really bad.

Looks like it is possible with modified scanFT. It has Monochrome painter.

However, it requires some modifications as ScannerFT explicitly requires RGBAPainter object, not Painter interface. I did some quick'n'dirty fixes to allow it to accept generic Painter and changed Alpha threshold from 0x8000 to 0x9000 and it now produces decent image.

Hmm, interesting - have you tried passing an image type into this render library that is monochrome? In theory it could work as I don't think we rely on NRGBA...

This is just scanner library for rasterx it does not accept image type. It has compatible Scanner interface to use instead of ScannerGV

This library (go-text/render) accepts the image to draw to... that's what I was suggesting.
