Cross-Origin issue with COGs that implement the cors header correctly

Hi there,
First of all, I must say that the EarthSearch suite (FilmDrop Console etc) have made a huge leap compared to when I initially tested them, so thanks a lot for providing these - both portals and source code) to the community!

I just noticed on the Element84 EarthSearch example page which mentions an example STAC search

• some items have assets that are sourced directly from (ESA?) sentinel-cogs.s3
• while others are sourced from Element84 e84-earth-search-sentinel-data.s3

Trying to load from ESA S3 do work in geotiffjs cog-explorer, but results in Cross-Origin error for the e84 s3, although they work on other COG viewers like:

• cholmes old cog map
• radiantearth stac-browser.
