Suggested Upgrade path for GeoExt1.1 Applications

I have read that extra effort was put into making GeoEXT1 and 2 backwards compatible - Kodos and Thank you! I have a sizeable set of apps built on geoext that will need to be rewritten for GeoExt2 and without some kind of a starting point it will be quite time intensive. Could someone perhpas provide a rough outline of the elements of change that need to be mitigate towards an upgrade path from 1 to 2?

Such an upgrade guide currently does not exist. I'd love to have one, though. Maybe those of us that already migrated can gather some thoughts in the wiki.

I'll leave this issue open, so we don't forget.
