Mikrotik L009/RB5009 0.5U mount

The MikroTik L009 and RB5009 series are listed as fitting in 0.5U - however, the spec sheet indicates the router is 0.84” tall by 8.66” wide, which is just larger than most shelves. The MikroTik K79 brackets appear to work, but block a full 1U of the rack. Are there alternatives that do not require a dremel, or is it 0.5u with a few extra caveats?
