**Q4OS** is a Linux distribution based on Debian that aims to be user friendly. It offers two main editions -- one based on KDE Plasma and another based on the Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE). The TDE edition is designed to be compatible with older hardware as it is fairly lightweight (it is essentially a fork of KDE 3.5 from ca. 2010). I quite enjoy the visual themes of Q4OS, as it is meant to look a lot like Windows. It also has an installer for the system that can be run on Windows itself and sets up a dual boot. That being said, it does also have a live medium graphical installer.

This makes it a pretty good choice for people used to Windows. Although, I will admit that users that want application software not found in Debian's official repositories but instead found within Flathub may need to install these apps via the command-line interface with `flatpak install <package>`. Q4OS does have graphical tools for package installation, but I have noticed that while some Flathub apps are listed in the Q4OS Software Centre, many Flathub apps (e.g. the RuneScape NXt Client is not) are not listed in this tool, even though `flatpak remote-ls` does list them as available from installed remotes. Due to this, I would not recommend it to beginners unless they are okay with using the command-line interface.
