Visual Notes or Canvas Feature

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

One helpful feature for me would be visualization and networking flow between note/concepts. In a more focused view versus the graph view. It would also be helpful to enable the creation of flow diagrams and collections of notes that can be drilled down further into.

Describe the solution you'd like

Ideally it would be nice to have a new sidebar icon for a graph view where you can compose a visual view of notes and relationships and persist these views to a file.

+1 for a canva feature compatible with Obsidian canvas. It would be appreciated by a lot of users of VS Code.

The FOSS community is currently exploring two main paths to bring infinite canvas support to Foam and new Tauri-based Obsidian clones:

• Since Obsidian released its JSON Canvas format as an open specification, some community projects are attempting to build a fully FOSS JSON Canvas editor from scratch that could serve as an upstream plugin for Obsidian clones. One example is Throwdown, which was recently prototyped. However, these efforts are still early-stage and not yet production-ready.
• In parallel, the Open Canvas Working Group (OCWG) is working to align the two main mature FOSS canvas libraries, tldraw and Excalidraw, around a shared storage format: the Open Canvas Interoperability Format (OCIF). The goal is to establish OCIF as a de facto standard for canvas data across Obsidian clones that rely on these libraries. OCWG is also developing a batch conversion tool between JSON Canvas and OCIF to ensure interoperability between Obsidian and its FOSS clones.

Worth looking at these two paths for a future infinite canva integration into Foam.
